It’s been a little fashion-heavy here on the blog, with so much to take in after New York Fashion Week. So without posting more runway photos, I want to address one of the Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear trends: metallics. Think lurex, iridescents, sequins. In lieu of color (the season is heavily weighted in blacks, whites and neutrals), apparel and accessories are embellished with lots of shine. What’s interesting to note, is a parallel trend in interiors. Brass is one of the hottest trends for 2013.
I came across this photo featuring Tom Dixon‘s Flash tables — the square, rectangle and circle — which naturally caught my eye because of the grouping of three.
At varying heights, they can be used individually as coffee or side table, but I love how they’re combined together here. The tables have a mirrored bronze top and a brass plated steel base — shiny and reflective.
